Pio
Hey there, wandering surfer on the web! I am currently riding my own wave of inspiration and zeal so here's another blog post for you. (and myself of course) Thank you for existing and being here, hope you take something out of it!
"How many times," Jesus said to me, "would you have abandoned me, my son, if I had not crucified you." ~ Saint Pio of Pietralcina
I discovered this quote during my English Lit class and all I can truly say is that it felt like ripping off the bandage on a fresh wound. Like watching an old episode of Naruto and rewatching that character's death all over again - this beautiful remark by Saint Pio reminded me of the many rock-bottoms I have hit to get to where I am today.
Although I may not share these chasms of despair with you today, I want to let you know that you are not alone in whatever well or box you may be stuck in. Whether it be a spiritual, mental, physical or creative hindrance, the road only goes forward from here. Understand that when there seems to be no direction or purpose, the only way to go is forward. Onwards with unparalleled passion and unbridled courage.
I have slowly begun to realize and know that although I may not be in the place where I want to be, I am in the exact spot where I need to be.
The ups and downs, twists and turns of my life have brought me nothing but an adventure and a deeper desire to seek an adventure with the One who put me on this path. He knows that if I had not suffered, if I had not died, I would be an aimless and empty shell forever wandering the world seeking temporary pleasures and indulging in vice. I would not know I was a beloved Son of God - loved by the only one who really matters and who's ever really mattered which is Jesus Christ.
I am glad for my obstacles and the roadblocks I've encountered throughout my life. I am going to save future Rave the stress and also say that I'm looking forward to the rest of my sufferings which I will faithfully accept through the graces given to me by Him.
Allow us to move forward with the vision of a future filled with hope and virtue.
Letting go but never forgetting our past; so as to make us better then we were yesterday.
Moving, moving, moving
Floating, floating, floating
With my hand in Yours
and eyes closed
with a heart wide open.
