The glasses on her face fit perfectly. Subtle gold frames with thin black outlines within the circles compliment her smile like a few clouds hanging below the sun on a warm Autumn afternoon in early October. She wears crewnecks and t-shirts, black jeans and blue jeans, her white shoes against the concrete pavement. I walk with her and everything is okay, I say hello and my day is made. There's a certain wonder to her that I can't quite explain. It's like waking up in the morning and hearing the morning rain softly tapping the windowpane, turning your head and seeing the drops against the glass forming an image of tranquility. She always knows exactly what to say, nothing more and nothing less. no wasted motions, like a painter to his painting, a writer to her words, a musician to his chords, a lover to her kisses, a driver to his speed, an architect to his foundation, a gardener to her flowers, a scientist to his formulas, a mathematician to her numbers, life to its people. Her soft hair flows down to her shoulders like an auburn waterfall, spilling off her top and decorating her navy blue sweatshirt. She walks lightly, treads without a care. She sleeps soundly, rests without noise. Her heart is shaped like a sunflower, her eyes are emeralds, her voice is a sleepy Saturday morning. Every day is a sunny day when you're with her, the rain calms when she's holding her umbrella and standing at the corner of the street. Her face is from a painting, brought to life and asked to wander a world she's much too pure for, but she doesn't realize this. Her humility is hidden but present. She takes turns having good and bad days, but she remains the same despite it all. I am a grain of sand on her golden beach, a drop of water in her vast ocean content enough to simply exist at the same time as her. I'd give it all to show her how much she is loved, I'll begin with my words and the actions will follow shortly after. She is someone from my dreams and someone residing in my reality, present in both and beautiful in all. I'm taking a step forward, her figure standing just ahead of me. I place my hand in hers and we begin to walk, the warmth from her body overwhelms the coldness of mine and blue becomes green, winter turns into spring, life stops all at once and begins for us all over again.
